Understanding the symptoms of body dysmorphia and muscle dysmorphia.

This online study aims to understand more about body dysmorphic disorder and muscle dysmorphia. It is hoped that the results of this study will help improve our understanding of how to best support people with body dysmorphic disorder and muscle dysmorphia.

We are exploring:
- The symptoms of body dysmorphia and muscle dysmorphia
- How symptoms might relate to the sex you were assigned at birth
- How symptoms might relate to your experiences in social settings

Requirements

  • - Individuals who self-identify as having body dysmorphia and/ or muscle dysmorphia
  • - Individuals who are aged 18+.
  • - Individuals who are fluent in English

About the researcher

We are Chloe and Amelia, doctoral researchers at University College London. We are currently completing our thesis for our doctorates in Clinical Psychology, exploring body dysmorphic disorder and muscle dysmorphia.
